Attribution & commission

Which users count as yours, for how long, and what you earn on what they do.

Who counts as yours

A user is attributed to you if — and only if — their OroPocket account was created through your integration. There are exactly two ways that happens:

POST/partner/embed/verify-otp
POST/partner/users/initusers

The first is your hosted embed completing its OTP verification for a brand-new number — the embed calls it for you, you do nothing. The second is trusted registration, where you create the account server-to-server. Either way, attribution is written once, at account creation, and never moves afterwards.

Users who already had an OroPocket account never attribute to you — no matter how much volume they subsequently push through your integration. Nothing later re-attributes them: not a buy, not a KYC, not a fresh embed session. If your growth model depends on commission, it depends on new accounts.

Attribution window

Attribution lasts 12 months from the user's signup. Commission accrues on their activity inside that window and stops accruing on anything after it. The user stays yours in every other sense — you keep API access to them and their sub-wallet — the meter simply stops.

What you earn

ComponentFigure
Buy commission1.5% on Free, 2% on Pro — of gross INR on every buy (gold, silver, SIP installment) by an attributed user, in-window. Always payable.
Sell commission0.250% of gross INR sold — payable only if the monthly volume threshold below is met.
Volume threshold₹3,00,00,000 of combined buy + sell volume across all your attributed users in a calendar month.
SettlementMonthly. Statements finalize on the 1st at 01:00 IST for the prior month.

Buy commission

Your plan rate applies to gross INR on every buy an attributed user makes inside the window — gold, silver, and each SIP installment as it executes. This one is always payable: no threshold, no conditions, no minimum volume.

Sell commission and the threshold

Sell commission is 0.250% of the gross INR sold, but it is conditional. Add up buy and sell volume across all of your attributed users for the calendar month; if the combined figure reaches ₹3,00,00,000, sell commission pays out. If it does not, the sell commission for that month is voided entirely.

The threshold is all-or-nothing rather than tiered, and it is evaluated per calendar month — volume does not carry over. Crucially, your buy commission is unaffected either way: missing the threshold costs you the sell line only.

Refunds & reversals

A voided buy or sell voids the matching commission entry. This applies retroactively to statements that have not yet been paid, so a reversal late in the cycle simply removes the accrual before settlement rather than creating a debt to claw back.

Where to see it

Accruals show up in Earnings as they happen, so you can watch the current month build rather than waiting for the statement. In Test mode the figures are simulated from your sandbox trades — useful for checking your own reporting maths, not a forecast of real income.

Commission is separate from how you pay for buys. Prepaid float versus postpaid credit is covered in Billing, and the plan rates that drive your buy commission are on Pricing.
